FT: Project Learning Tree
Join the Alabama Forestry Foundation for a three-hour Project Learning Tree (PLT) workshop that highlights hands-on, outdoor approaches to environmental education. Participants will leave with a PLT lesson plan guide to support classroom and outdoor instruction. Formal and non-formal educators are welcome to join.

In the spirit of “Hike with Mike” we continue the tradition by “Rambling with Roger”! We will hike some of the trails in Bon Secour NWR (Jeff Friend or Gator Lake Trail). We will emphasize the unique coastal habitats protected by this important Refuge. Participants are encouraged to practice their iNaturalist skills. The hike will be about a mile in length and moderate difficulty mostly due to deep sand on parts of the trail.

Take a technical tour of the Claude Peteet Mariculture Center (CPMC). CPMC is the saltwater fish hatchery dedicated to stock enhancement and collaborative research pertaining to local finfish species.
